Short story final drafts are due on Monday, Oct. 13. If you are missing any work, please be sure to submit it for grading no later than Oct. 17. No make up work will be accepted after this date for this grading period. If you intend to make up Journal entries, you must have a total of 35 pages by Oct. 16th. I will check journals on this day ONLY. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure all paperwork, makeup work, journal entries, and quizzes are submitted on the due dates. We will discuss this more in class. Your Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde workbooks will be due, completed, on October 16th. Be sure you have completed any assigned work from the workbooks. Benchmark: Students will demonstrate an understanding of processes on whole numbers including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division by producing evidence (working problems) and by explanation. Within this strand students will review word problems that require them to decide on which operation or operations to use to solve real world type problems. Writing is a process. When you sit down to write, whether it is a story, a poem, an assignment for school, or in response to a question, there are several steps you go through to reach a final product. These steps can be learned and once learned, you can adapt them to suite your own personal style.
